Mooncake Festival Celebrations 2020
Super Talent Childcare Centre celebrated Mooncake Festival on the 1st of October 2020. Given the COVID-19 situation, classes held celebrations individually in separate classrooms. Children were given a lesson on the origins of Mooncake festival; told the story of the brave archer and his wife, and the story of mooncakes. The Chinese teachers gave explanations on the items associated with the Mooncake Festival, like mooncakes, lanterns, pomelo and water chestnuts. Children were given the opportunity to explore these items. Children previously had created lanterns, and they took them on a lantern walk about the neighbourhood. Children greeted passers-by with mooncake festival greetings, and celebrated the mooncake festival happily and meaningfully.
